The State Bank of St. Jacob is participating in the FDIC's Transaction Account Guarantee (TAG) Program. Under that program, through December 31, 2009, all noninterest-bearing transaction accounts are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the account. Coverage under the TAG Program is in addition to and separate from the coverage available under the FDIC's general deposit insurance rules.  After December 31, 2009, funds held in noninterest-bearing transaction accounts will no longer be guaranteed in full under the TAG Program, but will be insured up to $250,000 under the FDIC's general deposit insurance rules.
